Common Outfit: Ever the practical kunoichi, Kimiko always wears her professional outfit beneath her common garb. Her casual clothes are therefore light and easy to lose, should she need to go into combat. She wears a cream-white robe that reaches just past her hip and similarly coloured trousers from the waist down.
Professional Outfit: Kimiko's professional garb leaves little to the imagination, though in fact it is designed to allow for maximum flexibility and minimum impairment, being both light and unrestrictive. It is an all-in-one body suit, made from a fibrous leather fabric blend. The suit is skin-tight, with a large 'V' cut into the chest. Though the suit is mostly black, the outer thighs are white with faint lined marks. On top of that, she has mid-long, black gloves. Beneath the body suit, she has a lightweight, carbon fibre jerkin tightly-fitted around her torso.

Personality:


Overview: Kimiko has many personality traits - she is loyal, good-natured (though she can be a little cold), quick-witted and intelligent, modest and truthful. Above all, she is hard working. Put simply, she does not do things by halves. She is a very committed individual; always finishing a task she starts. If she knows she cannot complete a task, she will not even begin or attempt it. This attitude also translates into her hard-working attitude when training or on a mission, where she is tenacious to the last.

As one might expect, Kimiko has little time for social events. She does have friends – close ones even – though they are admittedly few in number. Those who dislike her tend to stay well clear, her serious personality frightening them enough to keep them from voicing their dislike. Her primary hate is boredom; she is always looking for something to do and cannot cope with an empty timetable. To this end, she is often rallying her close friends to go and train or explore.

It would be naïve to say or think that Kaede is always a serious individual. As long as she is with company that she is comfortable with, she’ll happily chat, joke around and enjoy herself. That is, if it doesn’t involve anything she would consider ‘childish’. At which point, she will often distance herself from the others, not wanting to be considered immature by association. Since becoming a Jounin, however, she has come to terms with shouldering a whole new level of responsibility. This has helped her mature in attitude, and her less sociable traits have softened a little.

She keeps all but the most familiar acquaintances at arms length, letting her guard down around only a few people.

History:


Pre-Academy Arc: Kimiko was born in Amegakure no Sato, 22 years ago, into the Aoki clan. She matured quickly, seeming to be 'older' than the other children of her age. Her parents explained this as her 'adaptable nature' combined with having to learn to cope with the harsh conditions of her country. As with all those of the Aoki clan, Kaede was encouraged into academic studies, her pre-Academy education focused on knowledge, books, scrolls, science, maths and history. Other clan members often commented on how talented she was, many trying to persuade her parents to enforce a particular art that would help their profession. Kimiko’s parents, however, chose to continue a broad spectrum of skill learning, wanting the leave their daughter’s future in her own hands. Once she was old enough to begin looking toward this future, including her career, she took to the ideals and way of shinobi life. At ten years old, she was taught her very first clan technique, and she joined the ranks of the Telepathic faction. Thrilled that she had taken to a profession so readily, her parents allowed her to join the academy when she turned 11 years old.

Academy Student Arc: Kimiko had barely set foot in the academy of Amegakure when she decided it was where she wanted to be, what she wanted to do. For the most part, the other students were friendly, though none immediately seemed to be prominent close friends. It didn’t bother the young kunoichi much – she worked well individually too. The teachers provided her with challenging and stimulating tasks, ensuring the further development of her skills. Though she enjoyed challenging her own limitations, she often wished they would let her be and stop forcing the harder work on her.

Kimiko's telepathic abilities quickly developed, but her control over them was slower to progress - as it was with most telepaths. She often overheard the thoughts of others when she didn't mean or want to, sometimes discovering thigns she didn't want to know. Her unusual gift and mildly solitary personality kept her from being truly popular, but she did make a number of close friends at the academy, ones who stood by her throughout. When given the chance, she always chose to work with these friends. With different companions in different classes, she learned how to work with a variety of diverse talents and personalities. Her time in the academy finished with her taking as much from the experience as she possibly could have. Easily passing the examinations, she was promoted to the rank of Genin.

Genin Arc: In the short space of time between promotion and current affairs, Kimiko spent much of her time with her family, knowing that more and more she would be sent away from them to work and train. That’s not to say she neglected a social life, staying in touch with her small group of friends from the academy, the group could often be found laughing and playing around the village. Occasionally, when this behaviour became a little childish, Kimiko would refuse to take part. For the most part, she spent these few weeks quietly spending her time with both family and a few friends. This all changed, of course, when she was assigned to a team.

The rest of her team were all male, her Jounin sensei a tough, battle-worn shinobi who worked the team hard. Her companions were both very competitive, a trait that Kimiko recognised in herself, though she chose only to compete with them when absolutely necessary. She impressed her teacher and, though somewhat bregrudgingly, her teammates too. After a small number of 'introductory' missions, all D ranked and seemingly far too easy for the Genin trio, the team began to receive more challenging tasks. This was a welcome break for the young kunoichi, who was now able to use her talents overtly, rather than supporting her companions in teamwork-related tasks. Between the four of them, they were one of the more successful Genin teams in Amegakure no Sato.

It was this very statistic that led the team into the Chuunin exams. Their village leader, when receiving reports about the teams and whether they were being put forward for the exams or not, questioned Kimiko's sensei as to why he had not yet submitted his team to these trials. He was persuaded to do so, and increased the harsh nature of his training tenfold in preparation. Relishing the challenge but disliking the persistent difficult tasks, Kimiko found herself feeling conflicted when it came to her team. This resulted in her taking a couple of days out to re-acquire a balanced mental state, as she was suffering from stress. Her sensei did not approve, but had no power to recall her from her rest. When she returned, her teammates scorned her and her sensei worked her still harder. Yet Kimiko seemed to attack the training with even more determination than before.

When the Chuunin exams eventually came to occur, their cruel nature took many of the opposing teams unawares, leaving very few Genin when it came to the final rounds. By this time, all the Genin of Kimiko's team were worn, including the young kunoichi herself. However, it was also the time that teamwork was no longer being tested, and if one team member failed the others could still progress. In a hard-fought battle with a Genjutsu using opponent, Kimiko turned the tables at the last few moments, winning the fight but at the cost of her physical condition. Her fellow team members did not fare so well. One lost his match but survived, vowing to retake the exams the following year. The other was killed by his opponent before the proctors could step in, and became the sensational act that year's exams would be thereafter known for. By the end of these rounds, Kimiko was still standing, and was awarded the rank of Chuunin.

Chuunin Arc: As soon as she had progressed to Chuunin level, Kimiko's father began to train with her once more, teaching her the specialties he had once fought with. His primary skill was with weaponry, an area of combat Kimiko was already deeply interested by. She took to the training like a duck to water, learning to harness the strengths and control for the weaknesses of a huge variety of weapons. After some time, she began to train with an archer's weapons - the bow and arrow. Her father's signature weapon set, she was able to learn from the true master. He even tried to explain how to create seals on weapons to add tricks and abilities to them, though Kimiko had some difficulty understanding this part of the training and eventually settled for just knowing about Fuuinjutsu, not being able to perform much of it.

Her life outside of training continued, as always, and her missions became steadily more and more dangerous but also increasingly rewarding. Her unrelenting ferocity in battle combined with her drive to maintain justice and 'never back down' attitude, she was soon paired with a Jounin for paired missions. On one such excursion, her telepathic ability active, she overheard the thoughts of a shinobi assassin. Shoving her partner out of the way, three kunai buried themselves in the floor where the Jounin had half a second ago been standing. As she fell, Kimiko concentrated the telepathic connection and sent a powerful blast to knock the assassin unconscious. As the two Amegakure shinobi got to their feet, Kimiko let out a sharp cry and fell to the floor. Her shocked partner tried to revive her, but Kimi was out cold.

Days later, the kunoichi awoke in the hospital bed in Amegakure with what felt like the world's most painful headache. After another day's rest, her father came to collect her. While he did so, he explained to Kimiko about the evolutionary limits of the Aoki clan's bloodline ability. According to the clan lore, because she had saved her partner's life, she had now developed a further advanced ability, though neither she nor her father knew what it would manifest as. A visit from the medic-nin only a day later confirmed this, however. He asked what Kimiko had been aware of - if anything - while allegedly unconscious in the hospital. Kimiko replied that she had no memory of the time, at which the medic explained that hospital equipment around her bed had been suspended in mid-air while she slept, some moving around at slow speeds. At this, the kunoichi just smiled, knowing that it was her additional ability - telekinesis.

It did not take long for the hardened Chuunin to return to the field, only taking a couple of days out to get a grasp on her newfound abilities. Rejoined by her Jounin companion, he thanked her for her lifesaving actions and explained that he had put in a recommendation that Kimi be promoted to the rank of Jounin. Grateful, but unassuming, Kimiko continued to work just as hard and complete as many missions as required of her. But the request from her partner had set things in motion, and ten days later she was promoted.

Jounin Arc: Hearing the news, Kimiko's father presented her with a gift. Something he had apparently kept for this very occassion. The gift was in fact a scroll - a summoning contract. Kimiko willingly signed her name on the scroll and sealed it with a blood donation. Yet more training followed, the Tanuki pack not taking to their new master that quickly - perhaps because of their prior allegiance with her father. With time, however, the powerful group of summons adjusted to their new summoner. However, they soon did something the Jounin did not expect - they gave her advice. The Tanuki pack suggested she take some time off, re-connect with some of her old friends. Her father later suggested something similar, and Kimiko relented. It had been some time since she had enjoyed the company of others in a non-working context. Nowadays, a few months on, she is beginning to take the odd mission from time to time.

Role-Playing Demonstration:


As the manager took his place behind the bar, the two figures of Kagura and Kensei strolled into the small building. Kensei had a look of curiosity on his face, his gaze directed at the Yamanaka. In response, the kunoichi merely smiled slyly, deciding to reveal nothing about herself just yet. Kensei was now smiling confidently, but she detected his slight quizzicalness.

The man had introduced himself as an Uchiha, which quite frankly told Kagura all she needed to know about him. The Uchiha were often quietly confident and proud. They were no laughing matter in battle and the ex-ANBU had never taken them lightly. Still, Kensei seemed a little more overt about his confidence than the average Uchiha, which at least made a change than the usual broody type. When he continued to his 'nickname', the Leaf Handsome Devil, Kagura merely raised and eyebrow before sitting herself down at the bar. She knew that her nickname was far more businesslike and less pretentious, but she didn't like to reveal it unless asked.

Sake was on the menu, it seemed, as Kensei ordered an entire bottle between the two of them. The kunoichi wasn't complaining at all, she rather liked the drink. The manager was still under the effect of the Yamanaka's technique, though it wouldn't last for much longer. Her companion seemed intent on exploiting this however, and explained that the drunkard at the other end of the bar was paying. After a relatively long pause while the manager processed Kensei's words, he wordlessly walked over and took some money from the unconscious man's coat pocket.

As the dazed man proceeded to reach for the sake and glasses, Kagura turned to her companion. "So what brings a man such as yourself to a place like this?" Before the alcohol began to work on her mind, she was running the names of all the Uchiha she knew through her head. By her reckoning, this man was not currently of Konohagakure. He seemed unthreatening however, and the kunoichi decided to leave the matter. The sake and glasses appeared before the pair as the manager walked off to the back of the bar. Kagura poured herself and Kensei a drink, promptly drinking hers a one go and refilling.

Natural Abilities: Crafted with utmost care by Amegakure no Sato's own blacksmiths, these darkened, obsidian steel bracers will resist all physical attacks. Additionally, they have long reels of strengthened wire hidden beneath. Kimiko can release this wire to whip at a target, to latch onto various objects or to control ranged weapons’ flight paths.
Powered Abilities: None.
History: Though simple defensive gear, these bracers are difficult to craft by even the more skilled smiths around. They can be made to order by master blacksmiths however, as these have been. Finely crafted, dulled obsidian steel is forged and made to be as strong and resilient as possible. A small contraption has been added underneath to store and release a long length of strengthened wire.

Name: Kurokongousen Uwagi [Carbon Fibre Jerkin]
Quantity: One.

Physical Description: A lightweight, tight-fitting undershirt that Kimiko wears under her standard garments. The base material is carbon ore, an ash black metal that is extremely resilient to damage. Engineered into a fibrous substance, carbon fibre is little heavier than a regular item of clothing, but offers considerable protection to the torso and upper arms of the wearer.
Natural Abilities: This form of armor can weaken the impact of regular stabs, slashes and the like. It cannot stop them entirely though, being far from impenetrable, and serves mostly to lessen direct damage to the torso.
Powered Abilities: None.
Origin: Understanding that this was not the type of item the smiths of Amegakure could create for her, Kimiko took her idea to the best she knew of in Sunagakure no Sato. The metal she herself provided and refused to reveal where she had acquired such a material. For a nominal fee, the man took a whole week to create the substance. Taking the material with her, Kimiko then visited the armory, whom she paid to fashion it into a tight-fitting undershirt.

Two were made for basic offensive purposes, the other two for utility and ‘area-of-effect’ attacks. The process took just shy of two weeks, given the quantity of items she wanted to store in the scrolls. Though the scrolls vary in quantity of stored items, they are each B-ranked relative to the complexity of sealing the weaponry in each scroll (it being harder to seal that much weaponry in a smaller scroll).

Name: 'Daikyū' Recurve Bow.

A mid-long recurve bow made from a carbon fibre and maple composite and with a complex fibre string made from a substance know as Kevlar 7-11, Kimiko's bow uses the most durable, best performance and high-tech materials available.
Natural Abilities: Made with lightweight but highly durable materials, Kimiko's bow is resistant to almost all types of damage, and can even serve as a blocking weapon if needs be. It also has a recoil mechanism that doubles to natural power of every shot taken and a stabilizing mechanism to improve the accuracy of every shot.
Powered Abilities: Chakra can be channeled into the bow to increase the effectiveness of the recoil system, effectively tripling the power of every shot. It needs about an D-rank amount of chakra to do this per shot. Other than that, it is the arrows that carry the special abilities.

This drastically increases its penetrating effect and upon striking a surface, it will shatter and release a shockwave of wind. The target will experience dulled senses, mildly blurred vision and a buzzing in their ears. Their body will respond to neural commands considerably slower than usual, disrupting their perception of movement.

Powered Abilities: By having these arrows made with a tiny, complex seal on them (created by her father), Kimiko can use a small amount of chakra to activate the seal before she fires the arrow. The seal causes the arrow to become enveloped in a thin aura of Suiton [Water] chakra. However, this Suiton chakra is almost identical to that used in Mizuame Nabare no Jutsu [Starch Syrup Capture Field], in that it is highly adhesive and can stick objects together to great effect. Not only will arrows of this type be near-impossible to remove from the body (if penetrated), but by forming a hand seal, Kimiko can cause them to explode and release thousands of sticky water droplets. These cling to anything within a 15m diameter, weighing it down, jamming any mechanism or joints in it. It is far more effective against complex weaponry and puppets than humans, but it can make movement awkward for shinobi.

Description: This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Fundamentally, all ninja know this technique.

Description: This jutsu allows the user to assume the appearance of another person, animal, or object. This is one of the basic jutsu taught at the Konoha Ninja Academy. Fundamentally, all ninja know this jutsu. The transformation jutsu is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques, since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts much mental strain on the inexperienced ninja.

Kimiko has taken this technique further, having her different arrows sealed within various parts of the left hand side of her body. Using this technique, she can summon them at will. The rank of this jutsu comes from its complexity rather than the chakra cost, as summoning each weapon takes very little chakra to do.

The range of the clone is limited however; it can not travel very far from the original body. If the Mizu Bunshin is injured, the clone will usually revert back into its natural water state.

Description: This wind technique can only be used with a form of weapon. Touching one hand to the weapon in use, it becomes infused with the power of the wind for a matter of minutes. The blade itself becomes five times sharper and will release small cutting winds when swung, essentially extending its range by a few feet. Also, the blade will appear blurry. This is actually an illusion created by the wind - the real blade is hidden by the vortex and strikes from a different place. Not only can this defeat blocking weapons, but it makes it far harder to dodge too. This technique does not require hand seals.

He or she can maintain a connection to the rain and tell when and where someone is obstructing it. This also allows them to detect the individual's chakra level and skill. It does, however, require the user to be completely motionless and without external visual focus (eyes closed) to maintain this technique.

Description: After finishing a set of hand seals, the user holds their palms out and facing skywards. They then blow a violent wind stream from their mouth. As the blast hits As the gust passes the user’s palms, bright light green sparks fly from their palms. These sparks are carried by the blast and as the furious winds near the opponent, they turn into hundreds of bright, light-green raptor birds – formed of concentrated wind chakra – and then tear through the air, slashing the opponent deeply with their sharp wing attacks. Additionally, the blast of wind batters the target, causing bruises, knocking them back and potentially breaking bones.

Description: After forming the needed hand seals, the user will summon a huge (60ft high) tidal wave to come crashing down on a target. If the user creates this without a nearby water source, it takes more chakra [closer to an S ranked quantity] but is possible. The current is so fierce that it can rip through most landscape features and will have a similar effect on the bodies caught within it. Due to the tsunami’s size and speed, it is very difficult to escape this technique.

Name: Ninpou • Izou no Tejinashi [Ninja Art • Magician's Legacy]

Description: This powerful, counter-attacking technique requires the user to perform a short set of hand seals and hold the final seal in response to an opponent's attack. At which point, the effects depend on the technique being employed against the user. If it is taijutsu, a clone will shimmer into existence before the user and immediately mirror the attacker's technique. Though seemingly non-corporeal, the clone can deal just as much damage as the attacker could have. When said attack is done, the clone disperses in a shimmer. Similarly, a weapon attack reversed this way creates clones of the weapons that are released toward the attacker with equal power and skill.

Name: Hijutsu • Kinjitou Eisei [Secret Technique • Eternity Pyramid]

Description: This powerful defensive Ninjutsu was developed by Rain kunoichi Kimiko. After forming the appropriate set of hand seals, she will place her hands flat on the ground. Instantly, thin lines of pale blue energy extend outward from her palms, along the ground. A moment later, when they have reached twenty metres in length, the lines rush to meet each other high above the kunoichi. When they connect, the three dimensional pyramid of energy shines light blue for a moment, before the connecting lines are all that is visible. This whole process, from start to finish, takes a mere few seconds. This is a barrier technique, one that is both impenetrable and inescapable. Only the user can dispel the technique – either by choice or if they lose consciousness. Neither physical nor chakra-based attacks will harm the prism, but this also means that the user cannot escape without releasing the technique and thus the defence. There is one exception to this: a non-elemental, chakra-based attack of equal rank can break the shield. This has two applications – the first, to defend against powerful attacks. The second, to imprison an opponent and force them into deadly combat. In both scenarios, it is a last-ditch defence because of the great deal of chakra it uses. Additionally, in the latter scenario, it is a dangerous choice to make – simply forcing that situation upon an opponent puts the user at a large chakra disadvantage.

Description: This is a somewhat simple technique, though it requires a lot of practice. The user first makes a single-handed hand seal. Immediately, a tiny plume of smoke appears in the same hand and clears to reveal a weapon. Whichever weapon they have summoned has to have been located about their person before the summoning. Thus, it is more like a movement technique than a summoning.

Description: One of the simpler skills involving archery techniques, the user notches three arrows to their bow and releases them all simultaneously at a target. An experienced user can send each arrow in a slightly different direction.

Description: By releasing lengths of wire from her hands, Kimiko can latch onto the handles or shafts of thrown weaponry from distance, controlling their flight through the air and snapping them back to her hands when necessary. Name: Soushouryuu [Twin Rising Dragons]

Description: To begin, Kimiko will remove two scrolls and set them on the ground, after forming the necessary hand seals, the two scroll rise into the air amidst plumes of smoke that resemble dragons. The scrolls then begin to open swirl around Kimiko. She then uses this space to launch herself into the air between the spinning scrolls. From these scrolls she can then summon her weapons, which she then begins to throw at her opponent. If the first barrage fails, she can use wires that run from each weapon to her fingertips to pull them back into the air to strike at her opponent again.

Name: Sakura Fubiki no Jutsu [Cherry Blossom Snow Storm Technique]

Description: Kimiko will hurl kunai with pouches attached at her target. When they impact the pouches explode, releasing small explosive notes. Due to the large number of kunai thrown, a shower of notes will rain down on the target. She will then throw one final kunai with an active explosive note at her target. It will burn, and by igniting the falling smaller notes it will cause a gigantic explosion.

After hurling her large scroll high in the air over her opponent, she will summon the weapons inside to rain down on them. Thousands of blades rain down, appearing as streaks of light as they fall. Because of the large number of weapons, avoiding the assault is very difficult.

Name: Amatsugouu [Heavenly Downpour].

Type: Weaponry.

Description: This weaponry technique requires the user to know Sanjuu Tama [Triple Shot]. The user notches three arrows to their bow, and fires them into the sky. When the user forms a hand seal, each arrow snaps into ten pieces, these pieces immediately growing into a copy of the original, resulting in thirty airborne arrows. As these begin to fall, the user fires another three arrows and forms the seal for a second time. As the second volley reaches its peak, the first volley comes thundering down to strike anything within a twenty metre diamter of the targeted area. Shortly after, the second volley comes crashing down to the target. This technique is made far more dangerous with special, ability-housing arrows. The advantage of this technique is that it can be used from a great distance, up to a kilometre away - so long as the user is strong enough to make the arrows reach that far.

Name: Sougu • Kujotensai [Tool Manipulation • Destruction Disaster]

Description: Sougu • Kujotensai is a Ninjutsu technique developed by the Rain ninja Kimiko. She uses this summoning technique to take advantage of her deadly accurate ability to throw weapons. After hurling her large scroll high in the air over her opponent, she will summon the explosives inside to rain down on them. Hundreds of explosive notes, smoke bombs, flash bombs, explosive pouches and weapon bombs fall, creating an enormous explosion of light, smoke and fire. Because of the large number of explosives, avoiding the assault is very difficult.

Name: Jiraigen no Jutsu [Minefield Technique]

Description: An considerably more advanced version of the Bakudansou no Jutsu, the Jiraigen no Jutsu involves casting a number of weaponry scroll overhead. The regular smoke of a summoning appears, though the weapons themselves do not, fooling the opponent into thinking the technique failed. Unbeknownst the them, every remaining weapon in the cast scroll(s) has been placed flawlessly just beneath the surface of the ground, turning the whole area into a minefield. With a single seal, the user can activate any of these weapons - all at once, or one at a time, though each activation requires another seal. Bladed weapons can emerge and attempt to impale or strike the target, detonating weapons can detonate from below the ground, causing devasting damage to an unsuspecting target.

Description: Telepathic techniques of the Aoki involve connecting the user's spirit with another's and then exploting this bond to achieve a variety of effects. This, the most well known of telepathic techniques, allows the user to read the thoughts of others. This is the passive version of the Mind Reader Technique, with which a clan member can hear the thoughts of nearby people. However, it is limited to one or two words of thought and is passive (constantly active). It has no chakra drain on the user, but is often found to be more of a nuisance than anything - the user hearing a word and not being able to discern meaning from just one word, or finding that it disrupts social situations.

It is limited to two uses per topic, as overuse can cause damage to even the evolved brains of the Aoki.

Description: Telepathic techniques of the Aoki involve connecting the user's spirit with another's and then exploting this bond to achieve a variety of effects. This, the most well known of telepathic techniques, allows the user to read the thoughts of others. At C rank, three or four key words can be distinguished from a whole sentence. At B rank, six or seven words. At A rank; a whole sentence can be distinguished. However, to read the useful thoughts and exclude useless ones, the user must concentrate hard. This reduces how often this technique can be used to a maximum of three times per topic. Because this is a passive technique and permanently active, clan members are so accustomed to using it that it costs half the chakra of the rank it is (i.e. A rank costs B rank chakra).

Name: Soujoukei [Future Sight]

Description: Telepathic techniques of the Aoki involve connecting the user's spirit with another's and then exploting this bond to achieve a variety of effects. In this case, they employ the same skill to connect with the future. There are two ways to accomplish this. The first and far more accurate, is to form seals and meditate. The user’s eyes widen and images from the near future [48 hours] appear in a linear sequence before them. They then have five minutes [2-3 posts] to discern what they can from the images. The second means is to scry whilst on the move or most commonly, during battle. In this case, the user will see randomly ordered images from the very near future [1 hour] and can only maintain this state for 2 minutes [1 post]. During this time, the user will gain a weak ‘sixth sense’ to allow them to fight without normal vision for the duration of the technique. Simply put, they can sense incoming attacks, though this is less accurate than normal vision. It is important to note that what is seen is still images, not motion and that the user has to discern what they can from them.

Name: Ishindenshin Deforume no Jutsu [Telepathic Distortion Technique]

Description: Telepathic techniques of the Aoki involve connecting the user's spirit with another's and then exploting this bond to achieve a variety of effects. After forming seals and creating the connection with another, the user can then cause detrimental effects to their psyche. At C rank the user can scramble the target's thoughts and thus halt any mental or physical action temporarily [the effect lasts for one of the target's posts and another of the target's posts is required as 'slow recovery' time]. At B rank this effect becomes more pronounced, the confusion lasting longer and being far harder to overcome. It can also target two people at once [effect lasts for three of the target's posts, and two posts of slow recovery]. At A rank, it can wipe the mind clear of thoughts temporarily, rendering mental and physical action impossible. It can also target up to five people at once [effect lasts for five of the target's posts, and three posts of slow recovery]. At S rank, it can ‘spark out’ the mind, overloading it with psionic energy and causing a seizure, which leads to the target losing consciousness. This will last for up to 12 hours.

Physical Description:
Summon Requirements: As with most summons, the Tanuki pack require a small blood donation upon using the Kuchiyose no Jutsu technique to summon them. They will only serve those who have attained a relatively high-rank amongst shinobi, usually Jounin and above. Of course, they 'belong' to Kimiko, and will serve no other without her requesting so. They can be summoned individually or all at once.
Species: Tanuki.

Story: The youngsters of the Tanuki family are often found together in a pack. This is perhaps because of their similar ages, all eight of them born within the space of two years. They were named in numerical order, “Ichiro” being the “first son”, this continuing until “Hachiro”, meaning “eighth son”. Isamu, the father of the family, and his wife Chieko, have cared for them for the best part of seven years. Each member of the pack is now old enough to contribute to the family-owned summon contract. Unlike their parents, however, the eight male youngsters find being amongst the humans rather enjoyable, and tend to fool about when given the chance.

These tags will have a decreased detonation time, exploding or releasing their substance (for tags that are not standard explosive) as the substituted item lands.

Description: Only Saburo, Shiro, Schichiro and Hachiro of the Tanuki pack are able to use this technique. Kasumi Juusha no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that creates false attackers to delay and confuse the enemy. Though these servants are not real, the actual ninja is able to remain hidden and throw kunai and shuriken matching the movements of the servants. The user will first build up and compress chakra to their fist. Shortly after, they will release it in an instant. This can be used to deliver supernaturally powerful strikes to physical objects. A person struck by this would be sent soaring several hundred feet away; the ground would rupture and shake violently in the direction the chakra is released when the earth is struck; a tree would shatter and collapse almost immediately - these are just some examples. However, to use this with more than one strike would count as two uses, making it important to land the first strike.

Name: Tsuiraku Kawa [Crashing River]
Rank: B.
Type: Taijutsu.
Element: None.
Description: Only Ichiro, Jiro and Saburo of the Tanuki pack are able to use this technique. The user dashes in a zig-zag line toward the target, moving so fast they appear as a blur. When the reach the opponent, the user strikes five times from different directions. The fifth strike is simply a chakra-fuelled backhand that hits the targets head and knocks them away.

Description: Only Saburo, Shiro, Goro and Rokuro of the Tanuki pack are able to use this technique. Doton • Doryuu Heki is a defensive Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Earth Element. The ninja will do the necessary hand seals and then spew a line of mud onto the ground. The mud will then grow into a large solid earthen wall to defend against incoming attacks.

After striking the ground with his hands, a ninja is able to overturn the earth and cause it to rise up around his opponents. Placing his/her hands against the dome he/she is able to suck out the chakra from the people trapped inside and bring it into his own body. At the same time the user will use his own chakra to spread throughout the dome, this allows him to repair any damage his opponents manage to inflict on the inside. The chakra is not evenly spread out though, as the chakra flows away from the user, it becomes more and more weak allowing the dome to be broken on the far side if hit by a hard enough force. However, because four of the eight Tanuki pack members are able to do this, they are able to use the same technique together and place themselves at the ‘compass points’ of the dome to create an near impenetrable prison.

Name: Hakushuku Ojoushi no Jutsu [Brothers In Arms Technique]
Rank: A.
Type: Ninjutsu.
Element: None.
Description: All members of the Tanuki pack are able to use this technique. It allows each Tanuki to switch places with one of their siblings at will. This is extremely useful for scouting and relaying information, but also has applications in combat. For example, if one pack member is under attack, another can prepare a counter and then switch places immediately, unleashing the counter to the unprepared opponent. A few small wisps of beige and brown mist materializes with a Tanuki moving in this manner.


Taijutsu Styles

Name: Suiken [Drunken Fist]
Emphasis: Unpredictable taijutsu, drunken combat.
Requirements: There is no means of learning this style, it is inherent and natural in the user. It requires the user to be drunk, however.
Description: Suiken is based very much in deception and unpredictability, luring the opponent into a false sense of security, while taking advantage of the properties of alcohol to deaden the body’s nerve endings and provide a natural fluidity of motion. This unusual style of combat can't be learned or taught. It only occurs naturally, and requires the user to be drunk. Needless to say, in their inebriated state, the user cannot control their strength and the strikes are far stronger than a controlled attack by a sober individual. Additionally, they become far harder to strike - their ability to dodge instinctively augmented and their predictability greatly decreased. Only Ichiro, Jiro, Goro and Rokuro of the Tanuki pack are able to use this taijutsu style.


Natural Jutsu

Name: Furafura [Staggering Step]
Rank: D.
Type: Taijutsu.
Element: None.
Requirements: Hebereke [Drunken State].
Description: A wildly unpredictable taijutsu technique, this utilizes the strong, fast and immediate movements of a Suiken user. Because of their high-level of inebriation, the user has to rely on their reflexive actions to avoid attacks. Although able to dodge minor attacks with ease in the Hebereke state, sometimes a greater evasion is called for. In this case, the drunken individual ducks, rolls, leaps, flips - whatever they can do, in a mad scramble to avoid something that small movements couldn't avoid (such as a fireball). Because of their improved reflexes, the user moves far faster and more erratically than before, successfully avoiding most attacks.

Name: Hekikku [False Leg Snap]
Rank: C.
Type: Taijutsu.
Element: None.
Requirements: Hebereke [Drunken State].
Description: A wildly unpredictable taijutsu technique, this utilizes the strong, fast and immediate movements of a Suiken user. Here on Nexus Weaponry has been split up into various parts, it solves the ever so infamous Weaponry vs Kenjutsu debate. What type of Weaponry you choose will affect which of your weapons can, and can't, be on your application.

Your ranged weapons and arrows would be Weaponry (Ranged)
Your pills and scrolls (at least the C Ranked scroll(s)) are Weaponry (Misc.)
Your bracers and armor would be Weaponry (Armor), and the Carbon Jerkin wouldn't be D Rank.

Once that's settled i'll move on to the rest of the application.

How many of these weapon factions can I choose? One/two? I'd like to hang on to the offensive weaponry most, so I'd be happy to ditch the Armor section immediately. Unless I'm gonna have to choose between Ranged and Supplementary weaponry, which I'm kinda stuck on if so.

--> Weaponry - restricted to offensive, ranged weaponry.

--> Weaponry - reduced power of Carbon Fibre Jerkin to use at D-rank.

--> Weaponry - updgraded scrolls to B-rank in both power and definition, so that they can be counted amongst the ranged offensive weaponry (as they contain entirely weapons focused on that faction).

--> Clan - drastically edited clan techniques (part of the overhaul of my clan requested by Flash - clan not yet approved).

--> Rank Information - squad changed from 'TBA' to 'Team Sexy'.

Most definitely not D Rank, and how does this work? The ninja world would lack heat seeking technology, even our own world would find it challenging to fit this technology into an arrow. How does the arrow function with chakra?

Poisons are strictly for Kugutsu users and Medical Ninja, please remove.

Magnetized Arrow:
Since your character has no control over magnetic forces, which is a clan ability, I don't see how this arrow would work.

Recurve Bow:
E Rank Chakra = Quadruple Power. I have a problem with this i'm afraid, I would at least require a C Rank, and make it per arrow.

Crow Clone:
Using crow related jutsu would be related to a crow summoning, you have tanuki. Please remove.

Hydration Technique:
This jutsu is only usable by one Canon character who has had severe bodily alteration, as such it is inappropriate for you to have, please remove.

Hidden Mist:
Kiri only, even says in the description its a Kiri jutsu.

I don't think comparing reality to Narutoverse works, seeing as a plethora of things supposedly impossible in reality are possible in the Narutoverse with the use of chakra. I'll change the explanation to a chakra-based ability to heatseek, rather than a mechanism. Will be upgraded to C-rank, too.

True enough, but highly magnetised substances do exist, and that's all that I am using. Kimiko does not exert any control or influence over the magnetised metal, or its level of magnetism. It is a substance, not an ability, that gives it the magnetism for this effect.

Yeah, I know, but I was using it as an explanation of the complexity of doing something like that. I'm fond of using metaphors and examples, it usually helps understanding. As far as a heat seeking ability, I would base that on a Katon abiltiy (since Katon is the only element appropriate for heat) so I would require the Katon element to do something like that. Also, be aware that anything the seeks heat can be lead astray with a higher heat level, which any Academy Student could do (though I won't spoil it by saying how Smile)

Give me a good description of its effects and as long as its not ridiculously OP, I don't see why not, though you will have a limited number of 'doses' of poison. After that, refilling it would require a Medical Ninja who can create poisons. Five doses sound fair? A dose per use obviously.

True enough, though I'm still a bit confused. The arrow explodes and scatters metal fillings, and these 'stick' to metals and some organic things, is this the magnetic part of the arrow? If so, some metals are non-ferrous and will be immune to this, as will most organic materials.

Also, please keep in mind that stronger opponents would simply shatter the filings, especially a Kugutsu user. They would have little trouble twisting their puppets joints so that: A- The filing moves out of the way, B- The filing is broken, or C- The filing is ignored. And most other weapons typically lack joints so I assume that's the effect you're aiming for.

Feirce Raining At Will:
As I know it, using this jutsu requires a meditative state for the jutsu to function, though I could be wrong since I typically ignore Pain because I don't find him very interesting because he has so little explanation of his powers. If i'm correct, this will need to be added to the jutsu.

Magician's Legacy:
I'm going to have to say no to space-time manipulation since the site has banned the use of teleportation and the Yellow Flash's space-time jutsu on similar grounds. The Taijutsu and Weaponry effects, however, could function without the use of space-time and could be made into a simpler, A Rank, jutsu that created a clone that mirrored attacks.

Eternity Pyramid:
Unbreakable isn't allowed on the site, though nearly would be suitable for an S Rank jutsu, it just needs some way to be destroyed, probably by another S Rank jutsu of a certain type. You mention energy, do you mean pure chakra? Energy makes me think of Raiton, since that governs pure energy (lightning is as pure as you're gonna get for energy >_>) Also, be aware that S Rank jutsu are S Rank jutsu here, so using the technique would place you at an EXTREME disadvantage due to the chakra loss involved.

For your Tanuki, the technique, though C Rank, would require more chakra than the given rank due to its level of strength. A variable amount of chakra put into the jutsu, and the strength produced, would be more fitting for the technique.

A Taijutsu style, not a technique.

You make a good point about their uselessness. Changed to a different arrow/effect entirely.

This is quite a select arrow, in that it only has a few uses. Mostly, it is there to jam mechanisms such as powered armor, or complex weaponry. I'll edit it to use a sticky substance instead, which will be far more effective and easier to comprehend.

Pure chakra of the same rank would destroy it. Edited that in. The pyramid itself is non-elemental chakra, not exactly dissimilar from the Kujaku chakra or others like it. Completely different effect though, obviously. The disadvantage from using this is included in the jutsu, don't worry.

Why does this number defer? I'd like a solid number so that this won't be taken advantage of unless their is a specific reason that you can explain, please!

Perhaps badly worded. Realistically, sobering up takes some time. So what it should say is "up to X posts to sober up", meaning that X is the post limit for this ability. But it should take an entire post to actually complete sobering up. Re-wording complete.
